Who am I, If not the star.

Not the man you thought that I should be.

ill begotten, Not forgotten.

Eye to eye, we’ll never see.

And sometimes, I cry & I don’t know why.

I see you, I feel you. You leave me a Letdown.

And that’s the story. The story I’m sticking to.

That’s the take. The Letdown from me to you.

I will not stray from the plan that god set.

You judge me for the life that I lead.

The choices I made on deaf ears forbade.

Thank you for not breaking my precious heart.

I didn’t need you now from the start.

And the train, And the train, rolls on.

All my life I have waited to become something more than my father did.

And so it goes, the train, it rolls on & no one understands or hears your mindless cries.

Why must I ask for forgiveness.

A life that I did not ask to live.

A joker, A jester. My fist to your face.

I walk alone. A life of my own. You let me down. I leave you a Letdown.
