Here I go again, the mid twenty’s plight, always a fight,

Time smirks at me for what little youth I have left to give,

But I’ll always know, that time is my own,

And no age can take from me, anything about how I live!

But it’s something,

Deep inside of me,

Always there, always teaching,

Something that I breathe!

Another day to live, and just keep on going, better off not knowing,

Are my goals to far from reach, too far ahead,

Always a game, it puts me to shame,

Yet understanding is the first step to success!

Pressured from the left and from the right, try as I might,

Turn tail of the thoughts when peers’ eyes gaze upon me,

Why do I care, their tricks aren’t fair,

Because the only man that matters is the one staring back at me!

But it’s something,

Deep inside of me,

Always there, always teaching,

Something that I breathe,

You can judge me, you can hate me,

But I’ll never leave,

Because what’s inside me, is in you too!

Let it set you FREEEEEE!!!!

One thing that I know for sure is I’ll never beat me,

Because I’m the best,

Fall once or twice, but a man will never fail,

A man that never rests!
