Fade through the wakeful lifelessness

Obscurity consuming everything

Dragged back into

The clutches of warfare

The walls of this mental prison begin to close in

Forced to battle

A crippled will to live

Is this glory worth bearing the weight of the world?

Colossal prism closing in on the city

Shimmering beams emit, melt through the premise

The dismal chorus swells

From the phlegmatic invader

Bellowing through air waves endlessly

Drilling through the lithosphere

With a massive auger

Laying waste to all within its wake

A call to rise

Positron cannon charged

Firing in unison

Beams distort trajectory

The invader fires

My companion shields me

 This act of sacrifice gives light to a new purpose
