the chain around my neck drags me forwards

the murders of crows keep me company

their shrill shrieks resonate deep within

I don't know and nor do i care

where this journey began

there's just so little to share

now that i know where it will end

In the ever-closing distance

i can sense it looming

an unending abyss leading nowhere
