De-atâtea ori, în şoaptă sau gând

Septentrion, spre nord avânt.

The call that always lingers

As many times, in whisper or thought

The paths I’ve roamed or will ever harry

Septentrion, north-bound, sails taut.

The nights are yon long as yet a fortnight

The sun unfolds amidst the night’s sky.

And the aurorae bright that dim the moon’s might

As years pass by, I keep cavorting

’Mongst world’s ways, over bens and moors

The polar star, it gives me guidance –

My homeward journey from distant shores.

My eye hosts nip, my heart houses ember
