Emerging from heavens vault
Trumpeting high from foul corridors
Along timeworn white cliffs
The sun blooms in lurid mercy
They shed the darkness of their spirits
Careening down a narrow path walled in stone
The stuttering herd thump proudly
Writhing in willful ignorance
Drifting a path begot
But the sun blooms for now
An earthly trespass transpired
Defiance against the breath of gods
Purge if not for a moment
Tread on in desolate peace
Where the earth meets the sky
At the forest’s feet
Spirit to guide us continue to be
Far from youthful realms
The dust settles in ravaged land
They’ve learned of suffering
And vow to forsake it all
Now, with lightening in their hands
Culled from the chaos
Time is reborn from perilous skies
