Up on the mountain Deep in thought The wizard sits Patiently pondering The ways of the worm and the warbler Underneath the sweeping willow bough We were imprisoned by ancients Who spoke in a tongue infused With powers stolen from other worlds The Unnatural symphony Down in the caves there’s awakening A rumble through the earth like thunder Smoke roils out from under foot The heart of the mountain awakes Vermin hiding in their mouse holes Thinking that they’ve tamed the earth Their cleverness means nothing to me The mountain walks again Dour are the faces of the followers The wizard stands before them Staring down the giant of the mountain Swinging his censer of sweet smoke
