Black Mass (single edit) Lyrics

Nightfall whips the chapel

Of the old cemetery

In the terrible summer of 1893

Oh, I remember when they chimed the bell

And the black carriage arrived

Carrying the lifeless body of my sweet Victoria

How could I see my love as cold as the razor

Tearing my miserable soul?

When on the altar they placed

The coffin and the four candles

The sexton and I blessed ourselves

I went to the coachman with some currency

But before they leave us alone

The sacristan adviced me:

This is such a bad idea!

This night the storm will bring

Just evil to this world

Go home my son return in the dawn

Your Wife is dead but you

Can still save your own soul

Despite his words I could not go

Midnight struck

From the windows I saw figures in the dark

Passing fast

Then the doors were opened heavily

A lightning reavealed those hooded silhouettes

Standing by the altar

Fallen on my knees I was shivering to the bones

No word to say how much

From them a man came to me

I saw death in his eyes

Mordant was his voice

But no more than his strange offering

"I do know your afflictions

And I can cauterize your pain

I pledge to put an end on it

Just come tomorrow for a meeting"

What means it all?!

I stuttered back to him

How dare you to violate our farewell?

He laughed and said:

"If you change your mind seek for us

We'll wait for you in the Family Almort's crypt"
