The chance to smell free air

The bell, as sweet as wine

Talks to me when time is standing still

My beaten soul before the sun

It shines so bright

I have to close my eyes

And stand in awe

As red and gold figures of light dance

Intertwined, it’s only us I see

A fleeting glimpse of a past life

Oppressing me, I will die here

Wearing defeat, a strong man broken

Impotent, weak and feeble

I’ll never touch the sea

Rest on a mountain peak
