---

Dark the sun, in starless skies

from the east the ship of nails sets sail

howling beasts, their fetters torn

raging forces of eternal doom

and this is how it ends

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces gather

on Wigrid's plains they're falling

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces lying

on Wigrid's plains they're dying

Brothers fall, a deathly woe

slain in battle each and every one

time of swords, of bursting shields

serpent's venom, blow the mighty horn

and this is how it ends

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces gather

on Wigrid's plains they're falling

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces lying

on Wigrid's plains they're dying

The father falls

the son lies slain

the flames devour

all that once was

Rising from the cold sea

I see land of blooming green

soaring through the white clouds

eagles' wings spread under endless skies

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces gather

on Wigrid's plains they're falling

Ash of ashes – burning

ash of ashes – flying

see the forces lying

on Wigrid's plains they're dying
