at the end of the endeavour

Reeling from strain of the flesh,

we are walking through flames...

...into the darkness behind our eyes,

beyond the reach of the gods

Crossing the Rubicon of Mercury,

pouring our ambrosia down

In the void and ether,

at the beginning of the ever

Yet never to enter again,

this wicker man in flames

Midst reeking stench

of salts and formaldehyde

Come and cast yourselves

into the fire!

The smoke above dying embers

slowly gravitates towards new form

The burning of this Vitruvian shape

is to live forever and forever we remain

Smoke rising above the remains

The smoke will always remain
