Shedding the horns of disgust

Hanging skin out to dry

Fiery tongues engulf and swallow

My body - drifting ash

Through the clouds

Restless

I am

Bulging with fruitless desire

A furious fume stirs overhead

The embers are ablaze again

A flicker is quelled by a caring hand

Letting go of latent shame

Uncovering all my windows

So I may know a deeper sleep

And wake up to a brighter day
