My Shining One Bio

New Brunswick, NJ's MY SHINING ONE was conceived in June 2003. Morphing out of members of Nora, For the love of, and Ensign, MY SHINING ONE incorporates influences of metal and hardcore with layered strands of indie rock and has created a sound that blazes a new path outside of conventional hard rock cliches. They recorded their debut 3-song demo in August 2003 thereby laying the groundwork for the shape of their sound to come.
In 2004 a more mature MY SHINING ONE remains hard at work writing new material that transcends the scope of their efforts from 2003. With a new split EP with Manchester's melodic powerhouse Son Of The Mourning to be released on Engineer Records in early 2005, MY SHINING ONE brings a more concise and much improved product to the table with their blend of devastatingly heavy riffs and melodic hooks coupled with brilliantly sculpted lyrical melodies.
The future can only prove to be more successful for MY SHINING ONE as they continue to build a zealous following through their intense and riveting live performance.
