Confined formed in mid 1997 after the disbanding of the local band "Incessant Torment". The two remaining Incessant Torment members, Jason Rodman (Drummer) and Anthony Parrinello (Guitar/Vocals) decided re-form the new group. Shortly after, Kyle Shapiro joined the group as the new Bassist/Vocalist. Many months later, the group welcomed Dale Pizzuti as the new second guitarist. At this point, the group decided not to continue as the new Incessant Torment, but at CONFINED. The group first began working on defining a sound all their own and a full set songs for a debut CD (later called "Forever Scarred").

Seven month after the group began, the Forever Scarred CD was recorded at Studio 13 in Deerfield Beach, FL. Just after the CD was completed, the band signed a limited release contract with the indepedant record label "Freak N. Records". Due to several legal problems and various setbacks in the project, the CD was never released on the label. In late 1998, after being on the label for 9 months, discontent with the inaction of the record label, Confined and Freak N. Records servered all ties. The CD at this point would never be officially released. During the 9 months under the contract, only a few hundred copies of the CD were made and sold, mostly by the band aside from the record label.

By that time, the band was well established, with a solid following in the South Florida local scene. During July 1999, the band was at the highpoint of thier time and were preparing for a follow-up CD later in August. A mutual descision was made to part ways with long-time guitarist Dale Pizzuti. The split couldn't have come at a worse time for Confined with a new CD in the works. Confined quickly found Justin Wolfman, formerly of RLB and long time friend, to fill in for the last few shows before work on the CD started.

Confined returned to the studio late in August to record their second CD "Silence". With no permanant second Guitarist, founding Guitarist/Vocalist Anthony Parrinello recorded all guitar tracks, solos and a good portion of the vocals on his own. After 3 grueling weeks, "Silence" was finished. After a short break, Confined began auditioning for a new guitarist. In earily October, Confined found what they were looking for in Joe Raio, formerly of the band "Relentless Aggression". Confined then released "Silence" in March 2000 and is working hard to get it heard. This is the history of Confined.
