Chuck Schuldiner Bio

The death metal community lost perhaps it's most influential member, as Charles "Chuck" Schuldiner died as a result of cancer. He was thirty-three years of age. Approximately two years ago, Chuck was diagnosed with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor. Even though his treatment seemed to be working, Chuck became weakened from the chemotherapy treatments that he was receiving to treat the tumor. Unfortunately, he lost his fight against the disease on December 13, 2001.
