Demon Pet are a dedicated and ambitious 4 piece metal band from South Wales, United Kingdom. Combining influences from such metal bands as Metallica, Slayer, Hatebreed, Machine Head, Biohazard, Pantera and 36 Crazyfists, Demon Pet strives to create catchy and strong metal music whilst at the same time aspiring to achieve originality in their songs.
Demon Pet was formed in September 2002. In the beginning, they were a group of very raw musicians who were beginners at their instruments and beginners at playing in a band. However, after immediately realising that they had the potential to go far as a metal band, they put in countless hours of hard work through practising with each other, and have now grown into capable musicians who are as musically tight with each other as possible. It has also taken them some time to learn how to craft their songs properly, but again through great hard work and dedication, they are now writing impressively catchy metal songs that have depth, cohesion and originality.
Demon Pet has produced many energetic and intense performances in various pubs and clubs in their local area, which has provoked a sizeable and growing following of their music.
In February 2004, Demon Pet recorded a five song studio demo called 'Lethal Dose' with a very reputable producer called Tim Hamill. Since then they have sold countless copies of their demo at their gigs and from this have built a sizeable and growing fanbase in their local area. Proud and impressed with what Demon Pet have created in their first demo; they are now looking to send it to suitable record companies in order to secure a record deal.
Demon Pet has also received a vast amount of praise on their songs from the users of the website garaband.com (a website where users from all over the world, who are often in bands themselves, review other bands songs that are uploaded to the site to compete in a chart competition). The users were particularly impressed with the catchiness and the originality of the songs.
In June 2004, Demon Pet acquired a 2nd guitarist. However his time in the band was very short lived as he did not have the commitment that the old guard required.
After the success of their first demo, Demon Pet are keen to record their newer material and are now preparing to record their second studio demo in October 2004 with the same reputable producer that recorded and engineered the first demo.
Demon Pet are setting their sights high and are determined to one day make a very good living from playing in the band. They believe that the strength and the originality of their two studio demos can provide a key to new and exciting opportunities; such as performing in larger venues to bigger crowds, to securing a record contract with a major record label.
Demon Pet are very ambitious and are confident that, between their ability to work hard and graft, and the talent that they possess, they can achieve the highest amount of success possible.
