With the dawning of 2009 right around the corner, Los Angeles based metal masters FLATLINE are gearing up to continue their drive to the top of the world of skull-crushing metal. Due to the major success of the digitally distributed release "Pave the Way" through Stand and Deliver Records, the album will be available in stores beginning on February 3rd, 2009, thanks to a newly inked physical distribution deal with Uprising/Sony Red. FLATLINE also look forward to touring throughout the year in support of the release, which was recorded with Machinehead and Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader at the helm, on dates booked by Thunderdome Touring.

The band has spent all of 2008 driving towards this release date by sharing the stage with numerous well known bands on tours throughout the US. August and September found FLATLINE tearing up the scene along with 36 Crazyfists, Walls of Jericho and It Dies Today. Shortly after that tour, the guys joined Century Media metal darlings In This Moment on several dates of their successful tour, and also supported Becoming the Archetype, and A Different Breed of Killer. The guys teamed up with Divine Heresy and My Ruin for memorable shows as well. FLATLINE was notably added to the Rockstar mayhem Tour Sampler CD and was also voted "Emerging artist of the Week" on 103.1fm Chaos with Full Metal Jackie. Despite their hectic tour schedule, as well as exploding on the stage at famed clubs in Los Angeles such as The Whisky, The Troubador, and every club in between, FLATLINE still managed to find time to shoot a video for their epic composition "Generations Fall."

FLATLINE's determination and drive can be traced back to the inception of the band. They shared the stage with GOD FORBID at 2007's Milwaukee Metal Fest XIX, won the California division of the national Project Independent Showcase competition, and with domestic success already under their studded belts, they showcased their brutal live stage performance by travelling to Auckland, New Zealand to play the "666-Metal Day Out" festival and then to tour the entire northern island. FLATLINE is sponsored by Floyd Rose, Evil Threads, Monster Energy and Sik World. They have been honored by the renowned Independent Artists Registry by being one of 34 bands out of 4,000 chosen for a 2006 sponsorship and LA's Rock City News took notice and awarded the band the distinction of being the "Outstanding New Band" at their 11th annual awards show that same year.

FLATLINE features five unique musical talents linked by a single passion--unadulterated metal. Lead vocalist TRAVIS JOHNSON's hauntingly personal lyrics and powerful delivery give FLATLINE its unrivaled edge. RANDY WEITZEL brings not only his songwriting and guitar talents, but a drive destined to carry FLATLINE far. Although guitarist JOE 'PAULO' GUERRA's metal tendencies are deeply rooted, he has influences in a variety of musical genres broadening the band's sound and style. Bassist HECTOR GONZALEZ adds an inspired style and solid stage presence to the rhythm section and drummer TIM HASSEMER puts a brutal and relentless musical pummeling at the core of FLATLINE's music.

FLATLINE's music is a rarity in this day of drop tuning and one finger chords. Real metal with an old-school thrash feel, FLATLINE's definitely a band on the rise!
