Brewed in the heart of the Beatdown Bronx, BILLY CLUB SANDWICH'S sound is a metallic batch of crunching riffs, intense drumming and a vocal growl that bleeds New York City Hardcore. Powerfully combining off-kilter melodic grooves with bi-lingual lyrics, the foursome (Martin Gonzalez -Vocals, Tony Malone - Guitar, Gary Muttley - Bass, Glen Lorieo - Drums) have been creating some of the most uniquely aggressive music in the New York Hardcore scene for more than ten years.
Building on the strength of their live shows and first two strong EP's, 1997's Hold the Bologna (Nawpost Records) and 2001's Superhero's at Leisure (Inner Strength Records) Billy Club Sandwich cemented themselves as creative artists who were as willing to crash through the numerous misconceptions of hardcore bands as heartily as they were to crash through a stage with a sledgehammer. A wrecking crew both live and in the studio, 2004 saw them release their 1st full length album on Inner Strength Records, Chin Music. Skratchmagazine.com called the album "refreshing" and stated that it was "Straight up, no-nonsense East Coast hardcore." The blast beats and stomp parts as well as a spicy mix of humor and hip-hop proved BCS were ready for the spotlight and they relished it, touring Europe and Puerto Rico to support the album while playing to large festival crowds and packed clubs as well as several Superbowls of Hardcore in there hometown of New York City.
