December's Cold Winter Bio

December\'s Cold Winter has shared stage and some serious headbanging with bands like Dismember, Behemoth, Sepultura, Fear Factory & Death by Stereo. The band also won the \"Battle of the Bands\" twice, as well as played the biggest gigs in Costa Rica: Rock Fest ´03 and Costa Rock ´06 and ’07. They also achieved one of the most successfully Tour ever made: the Awakening Tour, sharing the headline with Pneuma.

In October 2005, DCW released their highly acclaimed debut album: Decaying Recollections, which was mixed and mastered by Steve Austin from Today is the Day and released through Freak World Entertainment. The Decaying Recollections was 80th in the 100 most important albums in Costa Rica. It was also nominated for Best Metal Composition at the A.C.A.M 2006 Awards and it won La Escapatoria\'s Best 2005 Album Award.

In December 2008, DCW self released their second album: Ablaze All Shrines, which showed an astonishing musical evolution with much more aggressive, intense and brutal melodies as well as a twist in the lyrics, showing the band’s point of view against societies’ plagues. The album was recorded and mixed at Cavan Studios by DCW´s guitarist Max.
