1995 found four best friends in Sacramento starting a band. With members in place, choosing a name proved simple enough by conjuring a ficticious character William Haven. The group worked hard touring up and down the West Coast opening for everyone from the Beastie Boys to Earth Crisis among others. They released a self titled seven song EP in 1996, selling several thousand copies through mail-order and at shows. Revelation soon came into the picture and the band went back into the studio in April.

1997 marked the turning point in Will Haven's career. El Diablo, their first full length album, was championed by nearly every loud music critic as Max Cavalera of Soulfly and Chino Moreno of the Deftones were among the many musicians singing it's praises. Almost immediately, the bands scorchingly evil debut shot to #1 on HITS Magazine Metal/Punk/Hardcore radio chart and Top 5 on the CMJ Loud Rock chart. In Conjunction with rave reviews, the quartet completed several hugely successful stints on the road including a US tour with the Deftones and Limp Bizkit, an East Coast tour with Vision of Disorder, and as the main supporting act for the Deftones in Europe.

Fresh off of a summer US tour with Soulfly, Will Haven is geared up to hit the US and Europe this fall. 1999 should prove just as memorable with the long awaited, follow up full length WHVN set up for a September 14th release. Recorded and produced by Eric Stenman (also responsible for El Diablo) at Enharmonik Studios and mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap( Machine Head, Testament, Stuck Mojo) at Backstage Studios, England, WHVN is a sonic pummeling of metal-hardcore-noise that rivals virtually any other album out now that dares to call itself "heavy". Make no mistake, Will Haven has destroyed all musical boundries this time around and WHVN is destined to be one of the all time classic albums of it's kind.
