POWER METAL is a European styled Heavy Metal act. Founded in 1987 the band has enjoyed an incestuous relationship with ANDROMEDHA, the two acts sharing numerous personnel over the years. The opening line up comprised vocalist Totty, guitarist Ipunk, bass player Pras Hadi, keyboard player Raymond and drummer Mugix. The following year Punkky Deas took over vocals and Henry Sanada became the new bass man. However, in 1989 both these latest recruits exited to join ANDROMEDHA. Pras Hadi returned to fill the bass vacancy and Arul Erfansyah of the BIG BOYS became the new frontman.

POWER METAL morphed once more in 1991, inducting ex-ANDROMEDHA guitarist Lucky S.W. and also bringing onboard Frendy Rosi on bass guitar. By 1996 keyboard player James Fitzgerald, of ANDROMEDHA, and drummer Eko from ECLIPS had enrolled.
