Kratornas was formed by Bruno in September 1995 with 2 other persons - who immediately split up the following month of that same year. Alone with strong enthusiasm, Bruno pushed the project all alone, and by February '96, the entire presence of Kratornas has been born. The idea to play alone wasn't intentional, but it was meant to be better in that case. However, 1996 was just so hapless and it is no longer necessary to scrape out any proceedings about what happened to Bruno, or the ex-members rotting themselves in pharmaceutical turmoil on that year….

April 1997, Bruno somewhat came back "cleaned" and went out with 10 weak songs - recorded with a very bad sound! November(same year), Bruno's self-owned Ligum Dulum Productions printed 500 copies of Kratornas' 1st Demo Enorht Eht Nihtiw Si Taog Eht(1997). First material of Kratornas to be distributed worldwide and now is Sold Out! Response has been good and bad from press, but among them was North America's newsprint force Hellfrost #6 (8,000 copies), where Kratornas received 89/100 of a rating! (very unusual for a band from the Philippines, which is solemnly unknown and 1st to appear on that giant zine!)

Not satisfied on the style of Demo '97, Bruno look no further to heighten and use such an intensity never been heard from a Filipino band before. Now combining Thrash, Death, and Black Metal - Kratornas breaks the monotony by acquiring visible influences from Sarcofago, Beherit, Impaled Nazarene, (old) Bathory, Darkthrone, Masacre, Blasphemy, and even (old)Slayer!

Lately, songs from Demo '97 were captured on CDR and been digitally re-mastered by Mike Hall from USA. Supposed to be released as a Demo CD by Ligum Dulum Productions, but Bruno had an eternal disgust on Demo '97 and cancelled any plans that concerns the said material. In this case, Obssessis Demonio(1998) never saw the light. (For Mike's effort, our gratitude toward this person is infinite. Hailz!)

October '98, Bruno recorded Demonic War Slaughter(1998) with a big inspiration from Sadus! And so, the vision for Kratornas was finally put into its existence after this rehearsal went through. Although it was made up of 5 fiery litanies, only 3 were given priorities to be on the list. Followed in December(same year), Bruno recorded 5 additional songs to complete a proper length and make it as Kratornas' 2nd Demo.

In August 1999, Kratornas 2nd Demo went out entitled The Onslaught Of Battledemons(1999). First 200 copies were printed in full color embossed printed cover that is carried only by single distributors, mainly from Greece and Czech Republic - the first 2 countries to distribute the demo! Since then, the company that prints the cover looses the charm of their printing equipment and thus, giving Bruno a terrible headache where to print another cover!

Now and the Future... Kratornas aims for a complete totalitarian song writing and attitude, leaving the inglorious past with a big disgust! Bruno is back to be alone once again, just like 1994! The Onslaught Of Battledemons will now be on the way side, as Bruno sketched the fate of Kratornas to endorse much more dynamic neo-barbarian aggression that only Kratornas is capable on doing! The band will not be as occupied as what happened in 1998, but whenever there is a new Kratornas release… it is sure to devastate any of the sado-masochists around!

The band signs a multiple deal with an UG French label, Ordealis Records in 2001.

Editor's comment: The band was originally known under the monicker Nergal.
