Self styled "Ultimate Terror Machine" DEMENTRA was forged during 1998 by the quartet of Rahul D'Souza, vocalist / guitarist Darshan Thakkar, bassist Kevin D'Souza and drummer Ashwin Thakkar. Describing themselves as "Mystery Metal" DEMENTRA claim to blend Black, Trash, Death Metal and Grunge. The group self financed a December 2001 album 'Doorway To Demention' through their own Demontrax label.
DEMENTRA's 2004 album included a cover version of JUDAS PRIEST's 'Nightcrawler'.
