Formed in 1993, with the sole reason of total & complete domination of the rock/metal genre, brahma has proved to the world that they are truly" The Gods Of Metal". These mean poster boys of Metal have dominated the Indian metal scene for just over a decade.

They started their career just as any other band playing the circuit just about everywhere people were willing to have them. But within the year the audiences moved them up in their minds & pushed them straight into the serious rockers category.

What moved them apart from all other bands at that time was the sheer stage presence these guys commanded as a band. Watching them was sheer pleasure for the rockers. Devraj with his hugely powerful voice and the hypnotic command over his audiences, Cyrus with his rapid fire double bass drumming, to John with his mean & menacing guitar licks & Vince with his sheer ability to headbang & play for hours nonstop. This set them apart from the rest of the clan very early in their career.

Back in the Mid Nineties to have a band who could play concerts back to back without breaking a sweat, no alcohol or drugs in their system & tighter than most people could imagine was a huge novelty. Brahma realized the only path to go straight to the top rung was to record a studio album. Back in the days where there were no competitions & free
record deals with competition wins, brahma realized that the key lay in coming out with a rock solid debut with a reputed company that would do the band justice. They signed up with Virgo music & released their debut studio effort called "The World Beyond" in August of 1998.

They created history of sorts by being the first band ever to release an album at an Independence Rock. That year in 1998 I-rock was over 3 days & the gamble paid off with brahma offloading over 9000 albums over those 3 days, & the rest they say was smooth all the way. " The world Beyond" did a modest sale of 77000 units which may be little compared to Indi pop band sales, but was a considerable amount for a niche category like metal in India.

They continued to tour & keep the metal flag high for the next 4 years when they thought it absolutely necessary to fulfill the fans needs & enter the studio again to create "Reborn", their second studio album. Reborn was an amalgamation of various sounds & is made up of issues close to brahma's heart. Sony music is now their record company &
brahma is due to release 2 more albums with them in the next 3 years.

The icing on the cake was when The International Guitar Major " KRAMER" decided to sign up with brahma as their official endorsees for all guitars. So now brahma exclusively uses Kramer guitars at all live shows & in Studio.

Reborn continues to a great seller at stores all over India & later to go to the far east & neighbouring countries using the Sony bandwidth.

They have to their credit, 2 albums -
The World Beyond, 1998 released on Virgo Music.
Reborn, 2003 released on Sony music.

Brahma has been into the metal scene for a long time now & strongly believe in what they do.The band never wishes to compromise in their music & go on kicking ass as they always do ,always did & will always keep doing in the future. Brahma continue their crusade of true blooded metal.
