Seventh Star formed in 1998 in Ocala, FL, with the purpose of playing hard music with a message of forgiveness. The Band released it's first CDep "LifeBlood" in 2001 on Warfare Records. In June 2003, Seventh Star released the Full-length CD "Dead End" on Facedown.
Seventh Star has toured the US several times and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of: Hatebreed, Sick of it All, Blood for Blood, Unearth, Shai Hulud, Bleeding Through, Terror, Throwdown, No Innocent Victim, Everytime I Die, Underoath, All Out War, Most Precious Blood, Hoods, Comeback Kid, As I Lay Dying, Ringworm, Blindside, Death Threat, Figure Four,
Stretch Armstrong, and many more.
2004 was a turning point for Seventh Star. After returning from a winter tour in 2003 with Hoods and Haste the Day, Seventh Star was faced with many problems to deal with: A Totalled van, Finacial problems, and inner problems among the members among other things. In January, Lead singer Jai Leacock exited the band. Also the fact that a few weeks later Brian Fahey (Guitar) quit the band, and Mike Whitaker's inability to tour, left the remaining members wondering if the band should go on.
Yet, Seventh Star knew this is what they should be doing. Taking much of 2004 off from touring to regroup, they pressed forward and asked long time friend and roadie Johnny Intraivaia to sing, he fit perfectly. And more recently, Chase Moore has been add to fufill sole Guitar duties, he played for Seventh Star on previous tours, and well as played guitar for The Deal and In Due
Time. Mike continues to be a writing force behind Seventh Star, as he still has a passion for music, just not the road.
With a new solidified, dedicated line up, Seventh Star will push on harder in 2005. With the new material blurring the lines between traditional hardcore and metal fury, Seventh Star promises to deliver their heaviest, hardest, most dynamic record yet. In January / Feburary the band will make the trek up to a Godcity Studios (Converge, Champion, AN, The Hope Conspiracy, etc.) in
Boston, MA to record their new full length record "Brood of Vipers" with Kurt Ballou (Converge).
Expect to see "Brood of Vipers" hit stores sometime in May 2005. Followed by relentless touring.
