Uncompromising individuality is needed to create any lasting piece of musical work. Germany's insanely underestimated DISBELIEF continually lash out with emotionally packed and unpredictable creations with no regard for limitations. Since their inception in 1992 within the death metal genre, the band has released four demos, five albums (each more melodic than its predecessor), and has shared stages with metal titans like Death Angel, Voivod and Dimmu Borgir. 66Sick - their sixth album - proves to be a scathing testament to DISBELIEF's dedication toward sonic growth and a trademarked uniqueness meant to break down musical barriers.

The band's self-titled debut was a blood-dripping slab of extreme metal that unleashed the momentum for their growing fan base. Their subsequent three albums, Infected, Worst Enemy, and Shine demonstrated a more melodic, slower-paced landscape of brutality that charted DISBELIEF's trajectory further into their evolving genre.

A stunning monument in the band's career, Spreading The Rage had writers around the world drenching the band with praise and accolades for their technical and intensely emotional compositions laced with insightful, thought-provoking lyrics. Called "vibrant and pulsating, teeming with brutality, skill, melody and rage," by Metal Maniacs, this was the album that opened the doors for DISBELIEF, and fueled by the recent success, they strike out yet again with their monstrous sonic mercilessness.

Full of groove, strength, and fury crowned with a powerful production spearheaded by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Mnemic) at Antfarm Studios, the twelve songs on 66Sick burst wide open with devastation and easily display DISBELIEF's vivid palette of styles. Unworldly screams, distinctive guitar riffing, and tight rhythm sections reveal a mountain of creativity. DISBELIEF span the metal spectrum on 66Sick, enhancing the rawness and aggressiveness of the music they're dedicated to help shape.

To capture a fascinating and gripping mix of influences built upon the foundation of early death and grind is no easy feat. 66Sick is a seamless yet tumultuous concoction of vibrant, pulsating brutality, performed with skill, melody, and righteous rage. With 66Sick, DISBELIEF have given their fans a promise for the future by leading everyone to believe this work is a product from an advanced, alternate universe.
