London's Ezra Collective announces new Record Store Day double single

Ezra Collective Last Friday, Ezra Collective announced a special double A-side single for Record Store Day featuring two upbeat instrumental rollers; "Samuel L Riddim" and "Dark Side Riddim." The group has released the songs digitally, with an exclusive vinyl release this Saturday, August 29th.

Summer-ready banger "Samuel L Riddim" was previously released as a standalone digital single under the title "Mace Windu Riddim" and "Dark Side Riddim" is a new, previously unreleased track. The 12" single of both tracks comes on color splattered vinyl - red and black on one side, purple and black on the other - and is housed in a gatefold sleeve featuring a comic depicting a sci-fi-inspired reimagining of Ezra Collective's origin story. Limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, "Samuel L Riddim" / "Dark Side Riddim" will be available this Saturday at local independent record stores as part of Record Store Day.

Since finishing 2019 with a triumphant, sold out show at London's Roundhouse - where they were joined on stage by special guest JME - Ezra Collective have hit America, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and New Zealand on their ongoing quest to take their party-starting live show around the world.

Ezra Collective are five young Londoners; bandleader Femi Koleoso (drums), his brother TJ Koleoso (bass), Joe Armon-Jones (keys), Ife Ogunjobi (trumpet), and James Mollison (saxophone). "Samuel L Riddim" / "Dark Side Riddim" is the band's first release since their acclaimed debut album, You Can't Steal My Joy, landed in April 2019. Featuring Jorja Smith, KOKOROKO and Loyle Carner, the exuberant album helped Ezra Collective break out beyond the thriving UK jazz scene and cement their status as one of the most exciting new groups.

Listen to "Samuel L Riddim" and "Dark Side Riddim" above, and stay tuned for more from Ezra Collective coming soon.
