Corrosion of Conformity Returns with Epic Double Album ‘Good God / Baad Man’

American heavy metal icons Corrosion of Conformity (COC) have officially announced the release of their long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s No Cross No Crown.

American heavy metal icons Corrosion of Conformity (COC) have officially announced the release of their long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s No Cross No Crown. The mammoth double album, titled Good God / Baad Man, is set to arrive on April 3, 2026, via Nuclear Blast.

The news marks a major milestone for the band, who have navigated significant lineup changes and personal losses over the last several years. To celebrate the announcement, the group has unleashed the lead single, "Gimme Some Moore," a high-octane rocker that pays homage to their early punk and thrash roots.
A Tale of Two Identities

According to frontman Pepper Keenan, the decision to release a double album was born from a surge of creative energy that resulted in two distinct musical directions.

"As we went on, we had such a crazy plethora of songs, it was almost like two different directions," Keenan explained. "We knew we had to split it into two different albums. Good God leans toward the heavier, pissed-off end of the spectrum, while Baad Man is more on the throwdown rock scope."

The project, which producer Warren Riker jokingly dubbed "Dark Side of the Doom," was recorded in various locations, including Blak Shak Studios in "Riffissippi" and even the Miami home studio of Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb.
Honoring the Legacy

Good God / Baad Man is the first COC release since the passing of founding drummer Reed Mullin in 2020. It also follows the amicable departure of longtime bassist Mike Dean. To fill the void, the band has recruited two heavy-hitting veterans:

Stanton Moore: The Galactic drummer returns to the fold, having previously played on 2005’s In the Arms of God.

Bobby "Rock" Landgraf: A former Down guitarist and Pantera tech, Landgraf takes over bass duties.

Keenan noted that Mullin’s spirit looms large over the new tracks. "With a lot of these songs, we're trying to make Reed Mullin proud. He was a badass, and the stakes were high."
"Gimme Some Moore" and High-Profile Collaborations

The lead single features a "who's who" of rock contributors, including backing vocals from Ministry’s Al Jourgensen and guitar work from Monte Pittman (Madonna, Prong). The track is described as a "ripper" that captures the energy of the band members’ teenage years.
