SPLIT BETWEEN SUMMON AND FRONTMAN RAGES ON
Following a crowd-annihilating performance at Detroit's 2500 CLUB on July 3rd, long-time members of Michigan's Satanic Beer Metal cult SUMMON have been embroiled in a hate-filled battle against each other, one that finds band leader NECROMODEUS and frontman XAPHAN engaging in a virulent war of words that has shook the foundations of this highly-prominent underground metal act to it's core.
Officially, Xaphan responded to Necromodeus, "I've got a permanent scar on my face because I was in a band with you and dedicated my life to what we were doing!!!!! I will never play in a band with the likes of you!!!!! You have done nothing but use me from day one and it is sad it took me this long for me to see it!!! I will never play in SUMMON again!!!!!!!! I hope you have a great time trying to create what we once had!!!!! Fuck OFF!!!!"
Yet, band founder Necromodeus had the following to say, "I don't care about you being in SUMMON anymore. Since she has been around you haven't been in Summon because your head is so far up her ass. You don't realize the problems she has made with everybody around her since she has been here. All that shit with Slavehunter and shit, which was her. You can talk to Betsy about that one anyhow. You'll realize your girlfriend's the (most important) thing in your life is fucking the problem of everything!"
The disgruntled bassist went on to say, "Have a nice life rotting you fucking CUNT! I have tried to help that bitch out since she has been here, that girl needs some help."
SUMMON has announced plans to hold auditions for guitarists and singers in August. It is unsure at press time if the band will replace Xaphan with one or more members. The audition date is scheduled to be announced.
Most recently, SUMMON released "Fallen" via the highly prominent underground label MORIBUND CULT. Voted #2 thrash album of the year by visitors of thegauntlet.com, "Fallen"
is available in stores now.
The band is preparing to release an all-new EP, "Pleasure To Burn," on the Seattle-based, underground imprint this fall. Also, the band is looking forward to a fall tour with INCANTATION.
