SABATON Break Up, Reforms With New Members

Sabaton Sabaton has decided to go its separate ways today. In a posting on the bands official website, the band stated "Starting a band at the age of 18 is simple, keeping it intact for 12 years is much harder, and finally we have come to the crossroad where we will go separate ways."

"Par Sundstrom and Joakim Broden will continue to battle on stage, carrying the banner of SABATON to further victories.

"We will always have an eternal bond to each other, created by more than 12 years of friendship and touring, and wish each other long and prosperous lives with families, various projects and musical careers.

"In the end, all six of us will end up in our own glorious future..."

SABATON will carry on with new, yet to be announced, members – the scheduled US headlining tour („Swedish Empire Tour 2012“) will not be affected and kick off as planned on April 10 in Tampa, Florida.

SABATONs new album „Carolus Rex“ will be released on May 25, 2012. The albums concept is about the Swedish Empire (1561 – 1721). „Carolus Rex“ will be released in both english and swedish versions. A limited edition featuring both versions and three additional bonus tracks can be pre-ordered at the Nuclear Blast Mailorder only.
