The legendary metal collective returns to thrash the House of Blues with an all-star lineup on January 28, 2027.

The gods of metal are once again aligning as Metal Allegiance gears up for their annual onslaught at Anaheim’s House of Blues, scheduled for January 28, 2027. This heavy-hitting collective, featuring the likes of Mark Menghi, Alex Skolnick, Mike Portnoy, and David Ellefson, promises a night to remember, packed with thunderous riffs and electrifying performances.

This year’s lineup is a who’s who of metal royalty, including Fredrick Akesson (Opeth), Bobby Blitz (Overkill), John Bush (Armored Saint), and other titans of the genre like Marty Friedman, Todd La Torre (Queensryche), and Troy Sanders (Mastodon). They’ll be joined by the opening acts of the Marty Friedman Band, Wicked, and Lost Legacy—setting the stage for a night of pure metal mayhem.

Mark Menghi reflects on this long-standing tradition, marveling at how far they’ve come since the inaugural show in 2014. “It’s been an incredible ride. Over a decade of thrashing Anaheim with original music, surprise guests, and epic jams—and somehow, every single year the energy just gets crazier. See you in the pit, SoCal!”

Mike Portnoy echoes the excitement, stating, “For over a decade now, the annual Metal Allegiance show in SoCal is always one of my favorite shows of the year! I look forward to hanging and jamming with all my metal brothers & sisters again.” The camaraderie and connection in the metal community are palpable, and this performance is no exception.

With anticipation building, Alex Skolnick adds, “This year’s promises to be no exception, with some returning favorites and a few first timers coming into the fold to help kick off 2027 in style.” The sense of unity and celebration that defines Metal Allegiance is what keeps fans coming back year after year.
