THUNDERMOTHER Unleashes 'Mothers Of Thunder' – New Album Coming in 2027

Swedish rockers promise a 'killer' follow-up with a fresh sound and bold themes.

In a blazing revelation from the heart of Wacken Open Air, THUNDERMOTHER's guitar goddess Filippa Nässil and powerhouse vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg confirmed their next sonic assault, titled 'Mothers Of Thunder', is set to drop in February 2027. The anticipation is palpable, with the first single 'Bimbo Boost' slated for a September 2026 release, promising to shake the foundations of rock as we know it.

Linnéa, bubbling with excitement, teased the upcoming album's ferocity, declaring, "We're so looking forward to having this album out, because it's gonna be fucking killer." It's clear these Swedish rockers are ready to set the stage ablaze once more with their electrifying anthems.

Diving into the inspiration behind 'Bimbo Boost', Linnéa candidly shared, "It's got multiple layers to it. [Laughs] I'm blonde and I bought my hair for very much money, so [laughs] I'm a bit of a bimbo myself. I'm a blonde Swedish girl. Obviously, I'm a bimbo." With such a playful yet fierce attitude, it’s evident that this track is bound to resonate with fans and critics alike.

Filippa chimed in with a nod to their live performance energy, stating, "A guitar player has a boost button on stage to make the solo louder. We wanna have a little pedal to just, [when you step on it], we have makeup on." It's a metaphor for amplification, both sonically and visually, as THUNDERMOTHER aims to elevate their raw power and stage presence.

After the successful release of their first live album 'Live'N'Alive' back in April 2026, recorded during their relentless touring, the band's evolution continues. Founded in 2009, THUNDERMOTHER has forged a reputation for their high-octane performances, sharing stages with legends like SCORPIONS and leaving an indelible mark at festivals worldwide.

With a new lineup in tow, featuring Nässil, Vikström Egg, returning bass slinger Majsan Lindberg, and drum powerhouse Joan Massing, the band is poised to unleash a fresh wave of rock fury following the acclaimed 'Dirty & Divine'.
