Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize Announce Collaborative Album as Nine Inch Noize
Nine Inch Nails have teamed up with electronic producer Boys Noize for a new collaborative project called Nine Inch Noize, announcing a full studio album that merges industrial rock with electronic dance music.
The project brings together Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross with German producer Alexander Ridha, better known as Boys Noize. Their debut album under the Nine Inch Noize name is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, marking a new chapter for the longtime industrial rock innovators.
The collaboration grew out of several years of creative work between the artists. Boys Noize previously remixed Reznor and Ross’ score for the film Challengers and later contributed production work to music connected with the Tron: Ares soundtrack. Their working relationship expanded further when Boys Noize joined Nine Inch Nails on their “Peel It Back” tour, performing live remixes during a special electronic-focused segment of the show.
During those performances, the trio experimented with blending pounding techno beats and distorted industrial textures, creating an intense hybrid style that quickly caught the attention of fans. The chemistry on stage helped inspire the creation of a full collaborative project, ultimately leading to the formation of Nine Inch Noize as a standalone act.
The album announcement was first teased by a billboard spotted near Indio, California, shortly before the group’s scheduled appearance at the 2026 Coachella festival. The project will be released through The Null Corporation and Boysnoize Records, continuing the “Halo” numbering tradition associated with Nine Inch Nails releases.
Nine Inch Noize is expected to showcase a heavy fusion of industrial rock, techno, and electronic production. The collaboration reflects Nine Inch Nails’ long-standing willingness to experiment with new sounds while expanding their music into club-oriented electronic territory.
The trio are also slated to perform as Nine Inch Noize during special sets at Coachella 2026, bringing the new project to the stage in what will be the first major live showcase of the collaboration.
