Los Angeles rock outfit Stitched Up Heart have released a brand-new single titled “Cannibal,” featuring guest vocals from Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies.

The track arrives alongside an official music video and showcases a high-energy collaboration between two prominent voices in modern heavy music. Frontwoman Alecia “Mixi” Demner and Shepherd trade aggressive, commanding vocals throughout the song, delivering a performance centered on confidence, attitude, and empowerment.

According to Demner, the song carries a bold and playful edge, describing it as an anthem for “man-eaters” and strong personalities. She also reflected on her long-standing connection with Shepherd, recalling an early Butcher Babies show where the two first crossed paths—an experience she now sees as a symbolic passing of the torch between artists navigating the same scene.

Shepherd echoed that sentiment, noting her longtime admiration for Stitched Up Heart and emphasizing the shared journey both artists have taken within the industry. She described the collaboration as a long-overdue moment and highlighted the energy and chemistry captured in both the track and its accompanying video.

“Cannibal” is set to appear on Stitched Up Heart’s upcoming album Medusa, scheduled for release on June 12. The band recently signed with Judge & Jury Records and has continued to build momentum through collaborations and touring, including upcoming shows supporting Sebastian Bach and festival appearances later this year.

With its aggressive tone and dynamic vocal pairing, “Cannibal” marks another step forward for Stitched Up Heart as they prepare to unveil their next full-length release.
