Sebastian Bach to Front Twisted Sister for Select Fall 2026 Dates
In a stunning turn of events for the 80s rock community, founding members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda have officially announced that former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach will step in to lead Twisted Sister for a "handful of select dates" this fall.
The announcement comes exactly one month after the band was forced to scrap their highly anticipated 50th-anniversary reunion tour following the sudden resignation of iconic frontman Dee Snider. Snider, 70, cited severe health challenges, including degenerative arthritis and cardiac concerns, stating he would rather "walk away than be a shadow of my former self."
Dee Snider Gives His Blessing
Despite his departure, Dee Snider has publicly voiced his support for the new arrangement. Speaking on the Beardo and Weirdo podcast, Snider confirmed that the band has his full approval to carry on. "He knows he has my blessing," Snider remarked, noting that Bach had actually been his hand-picked "emergency fill-in" as far back as 2014.
The Fall 2026 Lineup
While Sebastian Bach takes over center stage, the 2026 iteration of the band will feature a slightly modified roster:
Guitars: Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda
Vocals: Sebastian Bach
Bass: Russell Pzütto (replacing Mark "The Animal" Mendoza)
Drums: Joey Cassata (confirmed on March 3 as the drummer for these dates, following earlier reports that Joe Franco might fill the seat)
What to Expect
The band has already teased a snippet of Bach in rehearsal, performing a high-octane version of the 1983 classic "You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll." Twisted Sister was quick to clarify that these select appearances will not conflict with Bach’s solo touring schedule, which remains a priority for the singer.
Specific dates and venues for the fall run have not yet been announced, but fans are encouraged to stay tuned to the band’s official channels for a full schedule reveal in the coming weeks.
