BOB DAISLEY Says He Is Open To Talking To SHARON OSBOURNE Again: 'I'm Not A Vindictive Person And I Don't Hold Grudges'

Bob Daisley is willing to speak with Sharon Osbourne again and reflects on his strained relationship with the Osbourne family.

Bob Daisley, the seasoned bassist and songwriter behind much of Ozzy Osbourne's early solo work, shared his feelings about not being invited to Ozzy's final concert in Birmingham in July 2025. Though many believed he should have been included, Daisley explained that health issues related to COVID-19 prevented him from traveling and that he was disappointed by the lack of recognition despite thousands singing his lyrics during the event.

Daisley also discussed his absence from the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in October 2024, noting public surprise at his omission despite his significant contributions. He described the relationship with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne as complicated, marked by past lawsuits over royalties and credits, but emphasized that he holds no grudges against Sharon and would be open to communication if she reached out.

Reflecting on his last interaction with Sharon, Daisley recalled a deposition in New York around 2001 related to legal disputes. He expressed sadness over how his friendships with Ozzy and Sharon deteriorated, but also recalled fond memories and said he shed tears upon hearing of Ozzy's death, indicating the deep emotional impact of their shared history.

Additionally, Daisley spoke about the original chemistry within Ozzy’s band and criticized the controversial re-recording of his and drummer Lee Kerslake's parts on early Osbourne albums, which had been replaced due to legal conflicts but later restored. He acknowledged fan dissatisfaction with the re-recordings and reiterated his desire for proper recognition of his work.

Despite the tensions and legal battles over the years, including efforts by others to support his induction alongside Ozzy, Daisley maintains a measured perspective, emphasizing his lack of vindictiveness and willingness to move forward with open dialogue.
