Today the U.S. office of Napalm Records announces two new albums slated for domestic release.

KORPIKLAANI's Tales Along This Road, the band's third album for Napalm, will be released on May 23rd in the U.S.

Beginning with the manic, celebratory "Happy Little Boozer," KORPIKLAANI's Tales Along This Road is a rollicking distillation of the band's native Finnish folk music and traditional metal heaviness.

Although the balance may sometimes swing one way more than the other, our shamen never forget the importance, and power, of an immediately memorable hook. And across Tales Along This Road, there are an infinite number of immediately memorable hooks, the entire 10-song album the epitome of infectiousness.

A European tour to support the release of this album will begin March 30th and last approximately three weeks. Forthcoming festivals for the 2006 summer season are also in the works: 10 confirmed festival gigs, as well as ongoing negotiations for further dates.

Also of equal importance, KAMPFAR's Kvass will be released June 6th in the U.S. A deeply respected name in black metal circles, Kvass will mark the Norwegians' first album for Napalm, and first new record in seven years. Recorded in Silvertone Studio under the guidance of producer Rune Jørgensen in the 400-year-old fortress town of Gamle Fredrikstad, the process took a total of 3 months. Jon of KAMPFAR had this to say: "It has been a long voyage to get here and many new elements have been added to the Kampfar-world during the last years, all of which have contributed to Kampfar anno 2006. We have taken our time finding the right path for us, and we believe we have kept the Kampfar spirit intact. Our music has evolved, yet we feel the same for the music now as we did with the earlier works. The attitude is that of nature, in it's many shapes and forms. The attitude of the free spirit, the attitude of belief in oneself, for the sake of oneself."
