In a thunderous return to the spotlight, Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS have announced the release of 'The Complete Collection 1981-1984', a deluxe box set that encapsulates the band's electrifying early years. Set to hit the shelves on November 13 via BMG, this six-LP and six-CD set is a must-have for fans of the glam-punk fusion that defined a generation.

Leading this monumental collection are the band’s iconic albums: 'Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks' (1981), 'Oriental Beat' (2022 'The Re(al)mix'), 'Self Destruction Blues' (1982), 'Back To Mystery City' (1983), and 'Two Steps From the Move' (1984). Adding to the allure is a bonus album titled 'Motorvatin!!!', packed with rare and unreleased tracks, including live recordings from BBC sessions and previously unheard demos.

HANOI ROCKS, the first Finnish band to break into the U.K. charts, blended punk rock's raw attitude with the flamboyance of glam rock. Their high-octane performances, led by Monroe’s unforgettable stage presence and flanked by guitar virtuosos Nasty Suicide and Andy McCoy, created a live experience that was nothing short of explosive. With bassist Sami Yaffa and drummer Gyp Casino (later Razzle) laying down thunderous rhythms, the band was poised to dominate the rock scene.

However, tragedy struck in 1984 when the band’s trajectory was shattered by the untimely death of drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley in a car accident, forcing HANOI ROCKS to abruptly halt their first U.S. tour. This loss led to their heartbreaking split in 1985. Despite the setbacks, their legacy endured, influencing a new wave of glam metal icons like GUNS N' ROSES and POISON. The band reunited in the early 2000s and celebrated their storied history once again in 2022 with a special performance for Monroe’s 60th birthday.
