When the legendary Finnish hardcore band Terveet Kädet decided after almost 30 years of existence that it would be no more, Lapin Helvetti crawled out of its ashes to wreak havoc on our pathetic eardrums. In December 2016, former Sepultura musicians Max & Igor Cavalera played a sold-out Return To Roots show in Hämeenlinna, Finland and Lapin Helvetti was their special guest that evening, playing their first-ever live gig to an ecstatic crowd. Lapin Helvetti’s sound can be traced back to classic metal bands such as Motörhead, Slayer, and Venom, but there are also hints of black metal and hardcore fused together.
