SYNAPSE DEFECT: Chaotic Deathgrind Unit Premiere "Prize Pie" Single/Music Video

Announce 2018 Album, Quantitative Easing.

Active since 2005, Atlanta, Georgia natives Synapse Defect have carved a jagged and chaotic path across the United States over the years. Through endless touring and the release of two full-lengths to date, the group is dead set on delivering some fresh blood into the metal world. With their self-described form of "stupidly brutal deathgrind" leading the charge into spiraling manic outbursts that sound like nothing else out there.

Today the band partnered with Decibel Magazine to premiere "Prize Pie", a new single that's also a music video. The song is a brief early glimpse into the group's maddening third full-length, Quantitative Easing. Set for 2018 release. Decibel succinctly summed up today's "Prize Pie" premiere as a scrambling force that "barely clocks in at over a minute long, but its combination of grind, mathcore and brutal death metal is sure to leave your brain reeling."

Synapse Defect vocalist Chuck Cheney had this to say about "Prize Pie" and the group's upcoming 2018 album.

“The band Synapse Defect is far from a new name in metal, they have previously released two full-length albums, toured the nation several times over, and if they have been flying under your radar, let them evade you no more! Synapse Defect from Atlanta, Georgia is now unleashing the second addition to a series of new singles being released as music videos in the 2017-2018 time period. "Prize Pie", to be released in November of 2017, is described as a precise and quick jab to the jugular, with a dash of esoterics.

The song "Gridsludge" was the first of this series, released in September 2017, and we are told to expect much more after "Prize Pie". All these video singles, are to be released in contemplation of the band's third full-length album, which will go by the name "Quantitative Easing". The new album is expected in 2018.”
