The legendary Australian rockers gear up for their last hurrah, with a new album on the horizon and emotional goodbyes ahead.

In an electrifying revelation from the depths of the Australian rock scene, ROSE TATTOO's frontman Gary 'Angry' Anderson has confirmed the band is gearing up to unleash a new studio album, potentially hitting the shelves late 2026 or early 2027. During a candid interview with Nejc Zupančič of PodRaznoKast, the 79-year-old rock veteran hinted that their recently dropped cover of Stevie Wright's 'Hard Road' might find its way onto the new record. 'Yeah, it was another Stevie Wright song. We were rehearsing it to go in the set,' Angry mused, reminiscing about the band’s history with Wright's music, including their 2007 cover of 'Black Eyed Bruiser' on the 'Blood Brothers' album.

Angry continued to elaborate on the success of the 'Hard Road' single, revealing it was originally released as a promotional tool amidst a busy touring year. 'Our manager said it turned out so good that we had to put it out,' he stated, adding, 'It’s been a massive hit at home in Australia and is gaining traction in Europe too.' However, the frontman admitted a dilemma looms as their vault of new material is overflowing: 'We have so many new songs to choose from; it might be hard to fit it on the album.'

As ROSE TATTOO prepares for its final touring year in 2026, emotions run high for Anderson. 'It’s very emotional,' he admitted, reflecting on the band's legacy. 'We’ve had the privilege of touring Europe many times, and it’s bittersweet to acknowledge that this chapter is coming to a close.' While the Australian dates will mark the end of their journey Down Under, the band is set for a handful of U.S. shows in early 2027, ensuring that their North American fans will get one last taste of the raw energy that ROSE TATTOO is known for.
