The Lurking Fear is a new Swedish Death Metal supergroup, featuring members of At The Gates, The Crown, The Haunted, and Disfear, and the band is working on its debut album, which is slated for release in the late summer.

While the band churns out the new tunes in the studio, you can preview what’s to come below:

“Finally unleashed upon an unsuspecting mankind,” the band said. “THE LURKING FEAR rears its ugly head. The first three songs of death metal filth are soon to be released on the self-titled EP, out on Moondawn Records. The EP was recorded and mixed at Welfare Sounds studios in Gothenburg early 2017, produced by Per Stålberg. The EP features the songs 'Tongued In Foul Flames', 'The Infernal Dread' and 'Winged Death'. Cover artwork by Branca Studios and special handlettering by Fenriz (DARKTHRONE). The Lurking Fear is comprised of Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) on vocals, Jonas Stålhammar on guitar (The Crown), Fredrik Wallenberg on guitar (Skitsystem), Andreas Axelsson on bass (Disfear, Tormented, Edge of Sanity), and Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, The Haunted) on drums.
