Sister Sin Breaks 12-Year Silence With Explosive New Single "Suicide Hill"
Swedish heavy metal powerhouse Sister Sin has officially returned, releasing their first new music in over a decade. The new single, titled "Suicide Hill," marks the band’s first original material since the release of their 2014 album, Black Done Bright.
A Triumphant Return to Form
"Suicide Hill" delivers the high-octane, street-metal sound that fans have missed since the band's hiatus began in late 2015. Featuring the powerhouse vocals of Liv Jagrell, the track is a masterclass in classic metal riffing and anthemic energy.
The single was produced and mixed by Kristian Niemann (known for his work with Sorcerer and Therion) and mastered by Thomas "Plec" Johansson at The Panic Room. The release is accompanied by a gritty, high-energy lyric video that captures the band's signature "old-school" aesthetic.
Back from the Brink
Sister Sin originally disbanded in 2015 after a grueling touring cycle for Black Done Bright, which included a high-profile spot on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival in the United States. While the band reunited for a series of festival appearances in 2021 and 2022, "Suicide Hill" represents their first formal step back into the studio as a creative unit.
The band’s current lineup remains the classic formation:
Liv Jagrell – Vocals
Jimmy Hiltula – Guitar
Andreas Strandh – Bass
Dave Cave – Drums
What’s Next for Sister Sin?
The release of "Suicide Hill" has sparked intense speculation about a full-length album. While the band has not yet confirmed a release date for a new LP, the single serves as a clear statement of intent.
In a brief statement regarding the comeback, the band expressed their excitement to be back: "It’s been a long time coming, but the fire never went out. 'Suicide Hill' is just the beginning of this next chapter."
Fans can stream "Suicide Hill" below or on now on all major digital platforms. Sister Sin is also expected to announce select European festival dates for the upcoming summer season.
