By Erin Fox

Hawthorne Heights, Atreyu and Anberlin offer music fans a hipper, edgier alternative to the big music awards shows by playing a concert at the El Rey Theater on Wednesday, February 8th that will be broadcast by Network LIVE on AOL Music (www.aolmusic.com/hawthorneheights) and XM Satellite Radio, as well as DIRECTV and on multiple wireless carriers worldwide. This event will be the only time to catch these hot bands broadcasted live before the release of their new albums in February and March respectively.

Tickets for the event go on sale Thursday, February 2nd at 10 AM and are available at Goldenvoice.com.

"Music fans are hungry for unique and interesting music experiences, specifically live performances from up-and-coming artists," said Aaron Grosky, VP of Music Programming for Network LIVE. "Working with Hawthorne Heights, Atreyu and Anberlin helps us to meet one of our core goals in programming for Network LIVE - to support the breakthrough artists with our platform, and thus create connections with current and potential fans beyond the intimate venue."

Hawthorne Heights' first DVD release, This Is Who We Are, is in stores now; the release of their second album, If Only You Were Lonely on February 28th is hotly anticipated by fans and the industry alike. Their headlining tour kicks off February 10th in Toledo and runs through March 5th. In mid-March, Hawthorne Heights will join Fall Out Boy and The All-American Rejects for a two month arena tour of North America.

With a debut album that has been on the Billboard Top 200 for over a year and is heading rapidly for platinum certification, there is a great deal of anticipation for If Only You Were Lonely. The first single, "Saying Sorry" has been hailed as a hit in the industry. AOL Music launched the world premiere of the new video in their First Look program, Alternative radio is on board with adds in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas and many others. National press is rolling in, with cover stories confirmed in Alternative Press, Billboard, Metal Edge, Chord and Synthesis and features running in Blender, FHM, Guitar World, Guitar One, Outburn and Revolver. The new soundtrack to Underworld: Evolution in stores now as well, with a remix of "Where Can I Stab Myself In The Ears" by Legion of Doom. EA Sports releases their MVP 2006 Baseball video game this month, which contains a track from the new album, This Is Who We Are. Hawthorne Heights will be featured on Yahoo! Music's Pepsi Smash as well as AOL Sessions, and they will perform on Conan O'Brien March 1, 2006.

If Only You Were Lonely is a tour de force, showing remarkable achievement from a band that has scarcely left the road since their debut album was released. Written partially on their bus during last summer's Warped Tour, the disc is produced by veteran David Bendeth, known for his work with bands like Breaking Benjamin and Towers of London. Musically, it tests the limitations of the emo and screamo music genres, adding deeper and darker guitars and a more diverse selection of material, from the uber-catchy emo tracks they are known for, to more metallic offerings and even a piano ballad reminiscent of the Beach Boys.

Southern California's Atreyu are roaring back after a few months of recording with a brand new album, A DeathGrip on Yesterday, set to hit stores on March 28th. Produced by Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Korn, Staind), the new album is chock full of great metallic rock songs with the mind-boggling guitar runs and dynamic brutality they are known for. They kick off the new album with an exclusive song on the soundtrack album for Underworld: Evolution, which debuted at #1 it's first week with 27.6 million dollars in ticket sales. The video for "Her Portrait In Black" is inter-cut with footage from the movie, and has enjoyed massive plays from the online sites in the past few weeks since its debut on Yahoo! Music.

As excitement and anticipation builds for A DeathGrip On Yesterday, Atreyu get in the bus for acclaimed Taste of Chaos Tour, where they join bands like Deftones, Thrice and Story of The Year to rock North America from February 15 to April 15th. Taste of Chaos, which is sponsored by Rock Star Energy Drink among others, the tour was described in Los Angeles Times as the, "winter cousin of Vans Warped Tour" by Annie Zaleski. Asked what differentiates Taste of Chaos from Warped Tour, singer Alex told Alternative Press that "The bands are a little more intense'The Deftones are a little more aggressive than Yellowcard, you know?" With A DeathGrip On Yesterday in stores March 28th, Atreyu are poised to head straight to the top of the charts. Taste of Chaos Tour 2006 will be the staging ground for their campaign for world domination.
