Out of the Black - A Black metal Documentary Released

The long awaited and long overdue Black metal documentary entitled Out of the Black - A Black metal Documentary was finally released today, for free, via YouTube.

Executive Producer William Shackleford said "This thing has been a pain, a treacherous journey. Some things didn't work out like we wanted but in the end I think its a winner. But I think we made a decent film. The final cut is what it is, I wish we could have used all of the interviews we had but the flow is more important than any one individual or band. I have to give huge props to Artistic Director Stefan Rydehed of Sweden, without Stefan we would have nothing."

Artistic Director Stefan Rydehed said "I think we made a good film. We accomplished what we wanted to accomplish. We did not want to follow a trend that is so common within Black metal documentaries, the church burnings, all this stuff. We wanted to examine the musical, social and religious aspects of the art and we did that."
