Burnt By The Sun Reunite Original Line Up For Final Full Length

The below is an official press release from Relapse regarding the reuniting of the original Burnt By The Sun line up who will record their third and final full length.

Burnt by the Sun's original line-up, including recently departed vocalist Mike Olender and drummer Dave Witte, will be reuniting with new guitarist Nick Hale to write a final album for Relapse Records in 2006.

"After hearing the new material and thinking about what could be done, the feelings of leaving something unfinished made themselves very present and also re-confirmed the lost connection between us, said Witte. "I am happy that we have grown in the time that has past and will be able to finish what we started."

Lead singer Mike Oleander commented on the new material saying: "Frankly, the new material knocked me out," added Olender. "It is layered, dark and very heavy. It is music that speaks of the times we're in."

Recording is expected in 2006. A new track, "Tacolypse Now", has been written thus far. The record will also feature a re-recorded track from the band's split ep with Luddite Clone.
