Metallica's <i>Death Magnetic</i> has outsold Glasvegas' debut album by almost 20,000 units to secure the number 1 spot on Billboard in the UK.
Despite only officially going on sale on Friday, the American metal band's album topped the UK charts, selling 75,164 copies compared to Glasvegas' 56,387.
<i>Death Magnetic</i> went on sale worldwide on Sept 12.
