There are some interesting pieces from the interview below. If you wanna read it all, go to http://promisedland.livreforum.com

Promised Land: So, first of all, thanks for the interview. Let's start talking about Avantasia, that recorded an album recently (The Scarecrow) where you were a guest (singing wonderfully). How was the recording of this album (The Scarecrow)? What's your opinion about it and about Tobias's project?

Bob Catley: "Hello everybody! Tobi came over to the Magnum studios last year and played me some songs as part of Avantasia 3, The Scarecrow, and I liked them very much. We recorded them over two days and I was very happy to be invited once again to take part in one of Tobi's wonderful rock arias and I'm looking forward to the tour immensely.

I wish I could do the whole Avantasia world tour but because of my commitments to Magnum I'm only able to do a few shows in Europe. [...] Yes, I've been told, Tobi has mentioned to us that he wants to film the Wacken festival in Germany, which is a major rock festival, and I will be a part of the DVD from the recording of that show."

Promised Land: About your solo career, can we expect more albums coming soon? Are you planning any innovation for the next one?

Bob Catley: I've just finished recording my new solo album which is due out in September on Frontier Records. The album is called Immortal, with artwork by Rodney Matthews. All the songs are written by a chap called Magnus Karlsson from Sweden and it was produced by Dennis Ward who's a bass player with a band called Pink Cream 69 and he picked the musicians to perform alongside us for the album. I think the album sounds absolutely great and I intend to do some solo shows nearer the end of the year.
