Lordi Fans Robbed At Gunpoint, Manager Shot At
Former Eurovision Song Contest winners Lordi were caught up in an armed robbery in Kentucky on Friday night when thieves opened fire on a post-show gathering.
The Finnish group's manager Rikk Scholvinck fled the scene as the teenage thugs took aim at him after pulling up beside the band's tourbus in a car and threatening fans. One Lordi devotee was held at gunpoint, while another was forced to hand over his wallet.
Band frontman Mr. Lordi, who watched the attack unfold from the tour bus, tells ESCToday.com, "Rikk ran to a bar and called the police who arrived soon. In a moment we were surrounded by like, five police cars, but the guys managed to escape. They were a group of drug addicts that had stolen the car earlier that night, and police were already looking for them but have still not managed to catch them."
The shaken fans were given lifetime all-access passes to Lordi shows.
Lordi have been unlucky on the road this year - the band's tourbus was hijacked during their Ozzfest tour this summer and two of their fans were robbed.
