5FDP Members: "We're All Guns, No Roses"
As Five Finger Death Punch is making its presence felt with big guns sounding off across America on the annual Family Values tour, as the band continues to win over fans with its incendiary live set.
When asked about the cover art for the band's EP, "Pre-emptive Strike," released online in the States on July 10th, singer Ivan Moody and guitarist Zoltan Bathory relay their feelings about paying tribute to one of rock music's most important acts, Guns N' Roses. " Actually, that was funny," said Bathory. "The original "soft title" for the album was "All Guns, No Roses," but we were like, 'Lets keep that for a shirt, "All Guns, No Roses."
Singer Ivan Moody said, "I don't think we were out to fuck with Guns N' Roses, but when GN'R first came out, like when Metallica came out, there were certain parts that made them who they were. Their CD artwork, their image, and eventually, they faded out. Not "they" in terms of Guns N' Roses, but one person, especially, in that band."
